I’m sharing this blog by Amber Rae.  It’s great advice for professionals, especially the self-employed.  Love it!  Great stuff!

Here’s how it works:

1. Set priorities on Sunday.
Every Sunday, sit down and map out your week. Instead of defining the hour-by-hour of each day, outline your weekly priorities and what you want to have accomplished by the following Sunday.

2. Map out work, play, fit, and push.
Work: For each day, outline your “Top 3,” meaning the three most important things you will have accomplished by the end of the day. Sometimes you may be able to map out the entire week on Sunday, other times, you may have to decide on your Top 3 on a day-by-day basis.

Play: Make time to be creative or just relax and unwind

Fit: Schedule exercise for at least 30 minutes each day.

Push: Do something that scares you every day, push yourself.  For example: do something new, take on a new assignment, speak up in a meeting

3. Batch your days: Batch actions into specific days.  For example:

BE CREATIVE on Monday/Wednesday/Friday

MAKE CALLS and SCHEDULE MEETINGS on Tuesday/Thursday (of course there will be exceptions)
